Tundish Vibro Mass

Tundish Vibro Mass is a high-quality, water-free refractory material widely used in carbon steel making for tundish lining applications. It is a magnesite-based vibro castable designed to provide long service life, excellent thermal stability, and strong resistance against steel erosion. The material is easily installed between the permanent lining layer and the steel former through vibration filling, ensuring uniform density and consistent performance. During installation, the former is heated to around 300°C using a hot air generator for 2–2.5 hours and then safely removed after cooling, forming a precise lining thickness. Tundish Vibro Mass delivers stable performance for long sequences of casting over 20 hours, helping maintain steel quality while reducing heat loss. Its safe and quick deskulling process minimizes downtime and lowers maintenance and operational costs. It can be effectively used in both hot and cold tundish practices, making it a reliable and efficient solution for modern steel plants.
